Spartan Race
Well the Spartan Sprint on 3/24 at the USNWC was one of the more difficult things that I have ever done. I think it was 5+ miles of trails and obstacles. I say "I think" because I only heard that it was 5+ miles. They advertise it as 4+ miles but will not tell you how far it really is. I guess it is better that way. You dont let your mind crap out on you at a mile marker. It forces you to push yourself, which is what I am all about. Here are a few pics for your enjoyment.
This was early on in the race. Crawling under what felt like 100 yards of mud under barbed wire. The pieces of hair hanging down from the barbs was pretty gross.
Coming out of a 25 yard culvert pipe. Back into the mud and H2O. Made me feel like a kid again (except in an older, fatter body).
Almost done... 100 yards to go. I have to say, I was kinda worried about not being able to jump high enough to make it over the coals and fire. I was tired... Click on the link and you will see that I was REALLY tired because it is a pretty smaill jump... http://myspartanvideo.com/view-video/carolinas/845
Here is my buddy Chad. He puked.
