Music in Charlotte

Well folks, I know that I am probably the only one that will read this but there is a ton of great music coming to Charlotte in the next few weeks.

Noam Pikelny, the banjo player from the Punch Brothers will be at the Evening Muse on 12/10.  Playing with "Pickles" is Jesse Cobb, the Grammy-Nominated former mandolin player of the Infamous Stringdusters, Aoife O'Donovan, the wonderful voice of Crooked Still, Chris Eldridge, also of the Punch Bros and a former Stringduster.  There are other (assuming) world-class musicians as part of the troupe that I am not quite familiar with too.
Come with me!  http://www.theeveningmuse.musictoday.com/EveningMuse/calendar.aspx

Up next is Acoustic Syndicate on 12/16 and 12/17 at The Visulite.  I have only heard a few songs but what I have heard has been excellent.  I will be going to the Friday show (Mallory has a basketball game...).  Check them out on You Tube/Last.FM/ or other websites.  http://www.visuite.com/

BB King will start out 2012 in Charlotte on 1/13.  Maybe this will be a year of blues (music only please).  The Knight Theater will be a great venue to see this blues legend.  http://www.blumenthalarts.org/default.asp?blumenthal=59&objId=2944

Support live music!  I promise it is way more fun than sitting at home.
